The students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University, along with Research Assistants Gülcan Uysal Yeler, Esra Tunçer, and Assistant Professor Dr. Taha Gökmen Ülger, participated in the BATIKAF event held at our university on December 16-17. They opened a stand at the “Health Street” to engage with participants.
At the event, they provided information on topics such as healthy eating recommendations and strategies to prevent type 2 diabetes. Additionally, anthropometric measurements of participants were taken, and their type 2 diabetes risk scores were calculated.
The stand of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics attracted significant interest from participants throughout the event. Our department is committed to continuing to contribute to public health through such activities.
